Here are some examples of beetles equiped with the roofspoiler. Many thanks to the owners of these beetles for taking a picture and allowing me to show them on this page!

I have the spoiler made by a fiberglass company, in small batches. So don’t expect blistering fast delivery.. 🙂

  1. I would like to know where can I buy a roof spoiler and how much cost, I have a 1600i made in mexico, many thanks

    • Hi Gerardo,

See this page for more info.
But be aware: You will have to measure your rear window first! I don’t know which rear window size the 1600i has. Instructions on how to measure are on the linked page too.

      Greetings,

      Gerrelt.

  2. Hello,
I’d like to order the spoiler. wih shipping to Israel.
Please advise about the shipping price.
    Thank you,

  3. Hi Gerrelt,

Finally at a stage I can begin improving my ’70 Standard. Do you still produce these spoilers? Would be interested in possibly ordering one (United States).

    Best,
    Austin

  4. Hello again!

I fear you may be right about having a smaller rear window, but still need to measure officially.
Just curious, what causes the fitting issue for the smaller windows? If my knowledge serves me well, the size difference is fractional at most.

    Thanks!
    Austin

    • Hi Austin,

The curve at the top of the window is different.
Here are some pictures of the spoiler placed on a 40 cm rear window:

Especially in the corners the curve is different.

      Greetings,
      Gerrelt.

      • Hi Gerrelt,
That certainly is a shame then. Thank you so much for enlightening me though! I certainly appreciate it and love all the other projects you’ve done.
